JLMP was founded by two brothers—raised in Newark and bonded by a shared commitment to purpose, pride, and community. The name stands for Just Let Me Play, a rally cry that started on the field and grew into something bigger.
Raymond brought the city spirit. With deep roots in Newark’s political and civic life, he made his mark through years of service in City Hall and local campaigns. His work laid the foundation for JLMP’s early mission, outfitting city workers with gear that honored their roles, their pride, and their community.
Saeed brought the athletic edge. A Newark native and two-sport All-Star athlete. After the NFL, Saeed coached football at every level, from park leagues to Power 5 Division I, and rose to General Manager roles at Big Ten universities. A respected mind in the game, he’s an annual contributor to the NFL Scouting Academy and The Reese’s Senior Bowl.
Together, the brothers built JLMP, a symbol of identity, hustle, and pride, whether you’re on the field, in the classroom, or out in the city. From design to delivery, the brothers are behind every stitch, making sure JLMP stands for something real: showing up for your team, your school, and your city.

What began as a side hustle in a tight-knit community in 1996 quickly grew into a full-service customization business trusted by schools, city agencies, and customers across the region.
The name JLMP is more than initials, it’s a legacy. From day one, our goal was simple: make great gear for great people. Over the years, we’ve stayed true to our roots while expanding our capabilities. We’ve printed jerseys for championship teams, stitched names on workwear for city crews, and launched team stores that galvanized communities.
